Our third #GamesNightViz theme "Powering Up", had us improving our abilities, getting stronger and finding the key items. The project ran a collab with Back 2 Viz Basics | Week 6 Dealing with Outliers. We also had a data prep collab with our friends Preppin' Data | Week 8 Pokémon Evolution Stats

Abdelhaq's #B2VB challenge combines Mario graphics to incorporate on-theme interaction in this great visualization!

Super Mario Sales by Branden Kornell

Using filter actions and animations, Brandon was able to create a 2D styled viz to re-immerse you straight back to Nintendo from your PC.

Christina took a different approach to this viz, looking to highlight outliers on theme with iconography.

Elisa combined a #GamesNightViz/#DataFamCon/#DataPlusMusic visualization with her Witcher series midi visualization.

Luke took the Nintendo colors and translated them into a #B2VB visualization. This is a really good use of grid-based visualizations.

Max shows Mario literally running away from Super Mario Run’s overall unit sales and gives a nice comparison of Super Mario Run vs. all other titles.

Quentin creates an informative bar chart to highlight the outlier and introduces the Mario theme with custom shapes that also help describe the data points.
